Connect AI assistants
Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other AI assistants can work in your Propool workspace: look up a contact, list today's leads, add a listing. They connect through Propool's MCP server, which is the Propool API in a form AI assistants understand. The same permissions and rules apply.
Connector address:
https://app.propool.ai/api/public/v1/mcpYou can also copy it from Settings → Connected AI apps.
Claude and ChatGPT (in the browser or desktop app)
- In Claude or ChatGPT, add a custom connector and paste the connector address.
- You're sent to Propool to approve it. Sign in as an admin of the workspace.
- Choose what the assistant may do, then choose Allow.
The assistant works as the admin who approved it: everything it changes shows in the history under that admin's name. To remove it, go to Settings → Connected AI apps and choose Disconnect. It also stops working if that admin loses admin access.
Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and other tools
Tools that let you set a header use an API key instead.
Claude Code:
sh
claude mcp add --transport http propool https://app.propool.ai/api/public/v1/mcp \
--header "Authorization: Bearer ppk_your_key"Cursor (~/.cursor/mcp.json):
json
{
"mcpServers": {
"propool": {
"url": "https://app.propool.ai/api/public/v1/mcp",
"headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer ppk_your_key" }
}
}
}VS Code (.vscode/mcp.json):
json
{
"servers": {
"propool": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://app.propool.ai/api/public/v1/mcp",
"headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer ppk_your_key" }
}
}
}n8n, the Anthropic API and the OpenAI API also connect with the connector address and the key as a bearer token.
What the assistant can do
It sees only the tools its permissions allow: reading and updating contacts, leads and listings, and reading rental bookings. Assistants ask you to confirm before they update or archive something. Archived records can be restored in the app; nothing is deleted.
Keep assistants read-only unless they need to write
An assistant reads notes and names that other people typed, and those can contain instructions aimed at it. Give each assistant its own key, with Read permissions unless it has to change things.
